I have been a fan of DW Cee's since I read Indelible Love Emily's Story almost two years ago. This book continues the Reid family saga. Through Ms. Cee's writing the reader experiences the emotional experiences of true love. I'm not sure any book I have read touched so many emotions and personal memories. This book touched me on a very personal level. Any book that can evoke the kind of emotional responses that Unlikely Attraction does, is more than worth the read, and a reread.While I was excited waiting for this book, I was afraid I wouldn't like Laney and Donovan through the book. At the end of Max and Janie's Story volume 2, I thought Donovan was a jerk and Laney was a spoiled brat. The way those characters were brought front and center in UA made me fall instantly in love with them and their story. The growth that Laney shows throughout the story is amazing. Donovan being a hard headed man, resistant to the idea of love, is captured precisely. So many of the scenes evoked the been there, done that response. I will not be a spoiler. This book is well written, with strong and flawed characters. The settings are romantic and enhance the fairy tale love that is Unlikely Attraction.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a true romantic bone in their body. Join the Reid family and become one of us, The Reiders, who enjoy Ms. Cee's stories from the cul-de-sac. I know we are all anxiously awaiting to hear Donovan's side of this fairy tale, in the next book. Read this book and experience how true love can make you feel. Remember, on the way to HEA there is often pain and heartache.

DW does an understanding job! Her stories keep getting better and better. Unless you are okay with spoilers, I recommend the series be read in order starting with Indelible Love-Emily's Story.
This fourth story follows Delaney Reid's journey of love. It begins at the tender age of 10 when she meets Donovan Taylor, ten years her senior, and ends twelve years later. Her journey is filled with laughter but mostly tears as she watches the man she loves romance other women including her cousin Jane (who happens to be in a committed relationship) There were times I wanted to smack Donovan for his behavior and yell at both of them to talk honestly with each other rather than argue. Once Donovan realizes he loves Delaney, he proves he is the Prince her young heart knew he was.
"My Life, my breath, my all, I give to you. I can only be complete with you."
I didn't think I could but I fell in love with Donovan. I think I might actually love him more than Jake. I can't wait to read Donovan's point of view in Near Perfect Attraction.
I love all the Reids, Taylors and Davies and can't wait to read the next installment. With Gram having 5 sons and only being introduced to the children of two of them, I hope this series continues for a very long time. Would also love to read about the next generation's love stories. I can't imagine Jake allowing any man to date Ellie and I think James might out do his Dad when showering his love with affection.
DW you outdid yourself with this one. I have been on this journey since Emily's story, then Jake's, and of course Max and Jane's and I have anxiously awaited this culmination of Unlikely Attraction. What I loved about this story, is even though as an avid "Reider", I knew many of the events and the outcome, it was still "fresh" with this one, and my emotions were all over the place in anticipation of the outcome. During the Mourning phase, my heart literally ached for Laney, and I found myself getting impatient for Donovan to come to his senses. But in the New Day phase, I was finding myself getting a little frustrated with Laney in the way she handled the whole Michael situation. However, all this was so worth it in the Knight finale, because "Dapper Don" was wonderful, and the scenes with their intimacy was so endearing and witty-I just loved it. This author is so clever with her play on words, her detail and accuracy and beautiful descriptive nature of places and events, you feel like you are right there. It was also wonderful to see scenes we had experienced in previous editions, play out from the different point of view; it was like a refreshing deja vu. Now, this is a long book, but I was so engaged, that it flew by, and in all honesty, there were so many things that need to be addressed that it needed that time and attention. DW is the master of setting the scene and providing a visual that puts you right there with the characters. Her books are an experience to be enjoyed.
This story is best appreciated and enjoyed to it's fullest, if read after at least Max and Jane's two volumes because you will get the back story of the characters and will truly be vested in all the Reid's/Taylor's, but truly you need to enjoy the entire series so that it will capture you just like it has me. I loved the sneak peek into the fun that is yet to come from the voice of Donovan himself, and I can't wait to get his version of the events; and Nick what can I say, I did not see that little rascal behind all the gentle charm we've seen in previous editions. This series is just the gift that keeps on giving, and I seriously don't want to see it end. There is still so much that we need to experience and a few more Reid's that have not found true love yet, so DW, keep them coming.
